Chapter Philanthropy

As one of our four core values, service holds a special place in the heart of every Kappa Upsilon woman. Each year, Sigma Kappa, Kappa Upsilon, hosts various events in order to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association, the Sigma Kappa Foundation and the Maine Sea Coast Mission. We also volunteer at a local Ewing nursing home in order to support our philanthropies' focus on gerontology! In addition to our own philanthropies and service, our chapter is also highly involved in other fraternal and community philanthropy and service events, participating in their functions as well.

We were so excited to bring awareness to Alzheimer's and raise money for the cause at our annual "Driving Out Alzheimer's" Car Show (Oct. 7th, 2018)! Every year, our chapter hosts a Car Show as the last event of our Ultra Violet Week where all the proceeds are donated to Sigma Kappa's PULSE fund.

In 2018 (so far!), we raised thousands of dollars for various causes and donated over 1200 service hours. These numbers include raising over $1,900 for Relay for Life, as well as over $7,000 for TCNJam, which benefits the B+ Foundation. We look forward to increasing these totals next semester!

Also in Spring 2018, we raised over $3000 at our annual SKetti Night-- our highest total yet for the event! Sisters serve unlimited pasta to the campus community, and the proceeds benefit Alzheimer's disease treatment and research through the Sigma Kappa Foundation!

We also participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer's in Philly in 2017 and raised over $4,000 for the Alzheimer's Association!

We cannot wait to see what the future holds for our philanthropic efforts, and to continue to make an everlasting impact on countless lives!
